Busy busy!

I sure have been busy lately, haven't even had time to do those weekly anime reviews that I said I would do. Oops.
You know what? I could use a vacation, I haven't had a day to myself for weeks. School, work, other work, homework, research, staring into the sky, too much. Haven't even had time to game! Game! Seriously, when Kai stops gaming, you know something's up. It'll only be a matter of time before anime and internet surfing get thrown out the window. Okay, maybe not internet surfing, not as long as I have an office with an internet connection.
Speaking of my office, man, I hate interns. I remember when I used to be one, now I got to babysit them. I don't blame them for being idiots, I was one of them before. I just hope I don't chosen to chaperon the group of interns that go on the Europe business trip, that would be horrible.

Moving on, anime. Anyone still watching? No? I thought so. A survey somewhere proved that most anime fans are now expecting this year to be a disappointment. Ouch. Where's all my good shows go?

Oh, good shows for me are on actual television now. Burn Notice! Fringe! Lie to Me! Supernatural? Wait, okay, yeah, that last one too. Anyway, yes, Burn Notice, good. Fringe, science! Lie to Me, science! Supernatural, no science! Yay! Okay done.

Next up, uhhh... oh, maybe not. That's it! Later!

Photography Update

First off, thanks everyone for the help. Arsuru especially. Big help.

With everyone's help, I narrowed down my choices. Either a Pentax K-x or a Nikon D5000. Both around 600$. I think I'll save money until my birthday in March and treat myself to it when the day comes. Yay!

Moving on, quick update today. Not much else to say. I've been surfing youtube and finding the time lapse vids mixed with the "miniature city" effect caused by tilt-shift lenses. Wow, it's kind of hard to imagine that effect just coming a different kind of lens. Also, those said vids made me a fan of VividBlaze's music. lol

Seriously, how awesome is that? Makes me want to play Simcity... Oops, I mean Cities XL. But wait, music isn't even existent in Cities XL. Lame.

Urge to Get Up and Get the F*** Out
Originally known as Urge to Travel.

I've been having the urge to just travel a lot recently. I think it spiked now because I usually go home to family during Christmas Break, but I didn't go this year because I had to take care of my house. My roommates, good little girls and boys I live peacefully with in this house, I call "family". We've been through a lot together, a flood, rainstorms, snowstorms(one day), and more. Good times and bad. So now it feels like I have to take care of them, not only because they're good to me, but because they pay me rent. lol
Now they call me "Little Bro" or "Lt. Bro", because I look after them so much. And not because of you know, Mr. Chad Bro Chill Gamer Guy. For the past year, I've waved them goodbye on their way out the door, and welcomed them back in from the cold. As a landlord, I kind of feel like it's my duty to do that or something. It's a odd feeling, sometimes its hard to get people to understand.
Regardless, I feel like traveling. Unfortunately, work will keep me from going anywhere far for quite some time. But I want to take some time in the nearby future, maybe this year, to explore Atlanta a bit. I never really went around town here, so I believe I should do so. Before I begin though, I want to get a camera so I can document it. You know, maybe even make a youtube video or two. It is kind of something I've been wanting to do. You see a lot of people recording cities like Tokyo, but why not the everyday cities we live in? Certainly every city has something interesting, right? I guess I'll have to find out.
So look forward to that in the future I guess, once I get a camera or something.

In other news, as part of my New Year's Resolution "Get off my A** and do something", I'm going to start working on my other site again. First, going to review anime every week. I realized recently that I have watched a lot of anime, a lot. Many people ask me about them too. Let's put two and two together and what do we get? I should do anime reviews.
Next is my literature hobby, for those of you following along, you know I haven't worked on it since before Thanksgiving last year. It's time to thaw that Writer's Ice Block. Now I just need to find a better place to put the stuff online so people can actually read it. Suggestions welcome.
Finally, socialize more! I've been noticing more and more that I have been becoming reclusive. Avoiding people, not answering phone calls, not talking, stuff like that. I don't want to be a person with that trendy social psychological disease(lol thank you Hayate the Combat Butler for that one).
Now if I can do all that while going to class, working, and taking care of the house, I think I could feel like a better person year-round.

One last interesting life story. I recently joined a clan for my Modern Warfare 2 gaming recently, something I've never done in my entire lifespan. I've just never seen the point of why people do that, but decided to now because I simply could not find a reason not to. It isn't even like the other clans that are serious and stuff. Our "clan" is more like a group of friends who just play together and stuff retarded stuff. Ver big difference. So I joined in. And what's the first thing people say to me?
"You're joining a clan? WTF is hell freezing over?"
"Clan tags? Am I dreaming?"
"Has my little Kai finally grown up and joined society?"
"It's a sign of the Apocalypse, run for the hills!"
"Hey Chad bro chill!"
Thanks guys. Thanks a lot.

That's it for me, I'm going to watch more Lie to Me.

People who haven't watched it, should.

Can you tell I'm homesick. When I first moved to Kauai, I lived right next to that. I went to it very, very often. Sigh.

I'll probably choose to do first impression on this one first.

Start the New Year Off Right! Or not.

Just a quick update of sorts, I'm sitting at my lunch break staring out the window at quite a lovely day outside. I'll be busy this year, last year before graduating, working, and trying some new things.
To start things off with a blast, here's one hilarious new year tale. A new year firecracker flew away and set my neighbor's lawn on fire. It was warm. My friends are no longer allowed to light firecrackers around my house.
It also snowed a few days ago, but it was more like a light flurry. The ice stayed on the roads for a few days though, one of my classes actually got cancelled. That was nice. Last time it snowed, I dug my car out with a quarter. This time, I used an old credit card. Talk about upgrades.
That's all I'll talk about my life, now to more awesome stuff.
The January anime season is not awesome. The only show I have interest in is Dullalala!(or is it Durarara?). The other shows are the typical shows, slightly comedic, but overall, lame. Oh wait, there's Vampire Bund, but I'll wait to cast verdict on that one.

Backwards subs. lol

Gaming season looks also rather lame. Some of my friends are excited for some games, but not me. There's games like Global Agenda and Mass Effect 2, but nothing to go crazy over. I think the only game-related in my agenda is getting a nice, giant flat-screen HDTV in my bedroom. And upgrading my poorly-outdated computer. Did anyone else take advantage of Newegg's crazy Christmas deals? Epic discounts.

After watching Gametrailers for five minutes, I stand corrected. This is a good year for gaming. I completely forgot about the US release of Final Fantasy 13, Halo: Reach, and other hilarious games like God of War 2. If I remember correctly now, Starcraft 2 and Command & Conquer 4 are also coming out this year. Awesome.

Well, time to get back to work, over and out!
